As with any organization, from time to time there is a change in leadership. After nearly 18 months of dedicated service, Mike Prewett who has served as the inaugural chairman of the FORCE advisory council, has transitioned from his position, succeeded by council member Ruben Pena. This change in leadership took effect January 1, 2015.

On behalf of the Five Star Institute and the real estate industry, I would like to thank Mike for his tireless efforts to support the nearly 1,000 FORCE members enrolled nationwide. Mike has played an integral role, not just in championing the cause for the group, but for agents and brokers on a national scale. We look forward to Mike’s continued contributions to the organization, the advisory council and the industry at large.

We congratulate Ruben Pena, as the incoming chairman of the FORCE advisory council. Ruben has led an accomplished 35 year career as a real-estate professional. In addition to being the former president of the San Antonio Board of Realtors, Ruben was the recipient of the Texas Association of Realtors Distinguished Service Award for service over and beyond the real estate industry and community. He has previously served as vice-chairman of cultural diversity and equal opportunity committee at NAR and is the current president of the TC Austin Residential Group.

Once again, we would like to thank Mike for his inspiring leadership and welcome Ruben to his new role.
